beeping sound when braking
hi, this is my first post. i have a 2004 accord and when i brake, i hear a very soft beeping sound. when i start braking, it beeps around once a second and when the car is almost stopped, it gradually slows until there is no more beep. i can't hear this unless it's a very quiet place and my radio is off. is this beeping sound normal? thanks.

RE: beeping sound when braking
Hard to tell without hearing firsthand. It might be the brake pad wear indicator tabs. If so, it'll get worse, like fingernails on chalkboard. Then you'll know to replace your brake pads.

RE: beeping sound when braking
I would say that it is most likely brake related. Since you say that the noise slows as your vehicle slows it is make the noise for every revolution of the rotor. I would pull the wheels and see what the brake pads look like, make sure there is even wear between in-board and out-board pads. I have seen where a warped rotor will cause the caliper to move back and fourth on the slides. Use a runout gauge and check that the rotor is true.If it is not, then replace therotors andpads, be sure to lubbed the slides withanti-seize
