This morning I was heading to the store and went to pull away from a 4 way stop and the Engine light started flashing and the car would only go about 10 mph. Pulled off the road and turned the car off and then back on. No light, no problems. Took it to AutoZone and because there wasn't an Engine light on he said the Engine check wouldn't show anything. He checked the battery/alternator/started and said they all looked fine and that maybe it was an electrical glitch. My concern is they recalled the fuel pump on my car's model and year, but won't have parts until MAYBE the fall of this year. Mechanic is closed due to the holiday, so hoping to get it in tomorrow. Has anyone had this happen and then it just....goes away and never happens again? Thw electrical system went haywire 2 years ago, all lights came on etc and got it to the mechanic and there was NOTHING. It went back to normal, and never happened again. Wondering if anyone has and similar things happen only to never happen again??

 

Did AutoZone checked for codes? The check engine light doesn't need to stay on to store a code.

 

He did not. He just checked the battery/alt/ starter

 

Time to go back to have the code checked.
