Default blinking oil indicator light

I have a 91 accord lx. The oil indicator light starts blinking usually as I get off the freeway (go from high to low rpm's). When I shut off the car and turn it on again it stops. Does anyone know what this could mean? Thanks in advance.

I drove it yesterday from CA to Idaho and changed the oil the day before I left (so its full). Could the temp have anything to do with it?

have you physically checked the oil level since the drive? or are you just assuming?

worn crankshaft and rod bearings? I'm new to Hondas, I don't know what range RPM the oil pressure gauge is active. My vw only senses from 1500-3500 RPM, turning off at idle

before you condemn anything you need to chk oil pressure,,,,,,,,,,remove the oil sending unit,( above oil filter) hook up a pressure gauge and see if it is in specs ,,if within specs i would start by replacing the sending unit ,,,,,,if low then you might have oil pump or ( and ) bearings issues

by the way did this start since the oil change you did a few days ago? did you use a Honda filter ??

The same thing is happening to me... (1992 Honda Accord EX) it just started this week. I'll post a video of it on youtube when I have a chance... frustrating as hell since the car runs fine/always has been well maintained and the oil level is correct.

OP did you figure out what was going on/did were able to fix it?
Anyone have any leads w/ this?
