Default Brake Pad Thickness/Wear Indicators

I have an '06 Accord SE Sedan and according to the owner's manual, the front and rear brakes have audible wear indicators built into the pads. For the record, the brakes are not squealing or making any strange noises. Per my measurements, the back brakes have about 7/32" of pad on them and I was wondering how much pad is normally left before the wear indicators start to make their presense known? Also, on that note, when it does come time to change the pads, is it recommened to have the rotors resurfaced as well? I ask this because a buddy of mine who has an '02 Civic had a brake job last year and got new pads but they didn't resurface the rotors, is this normal? And finally, what does rear brakes usually cost on an Accord if you just need pads, and if you need rotors (though they're not bent in any way and otherwise appear to be in good shape)?

I have changed my pads often on The S and have not resurfaced the rotors. I have bedded in the new pads properly and have never had a problem.

I think they start screetching at about 2mm.

If you don't resurface the rotors it might be OK. Might not. Wanna do the job twice?

Some ppl suggest you turn your rotors every time..

personally, I don't... Nor do I suggest it... you'll just eat through them faster forcing you to buy new ones... it also makes them more susceptible to warping, which isn't good obviously..

Unless the rotor has radial scores or excessive blue spots/cracking I wouldn't turn them.
