Brakes overheating

Is it drums or rotors in the rear? Either way I would inspect/adjust/replace the rear to be sure.

they are drums, and i would but i really dont know how to check them let alone how drum brakes work

Can we try one or two things......??

1) Jack up the rear, pull the tire, have the e-barke off. Try spinning the drum by hand? What does it feel like?
2) Try removing the drum, does it slide right off?

try this on both sides,,,,oh and if the drum slides off, look at the surface and thickness of the material of the shoes.

So I would guess driving the car like the economy luxury car it is is out of the question?

You are going to hurt yourself or someone else driving like that.

Sorry Poorman212 i've been so busy with the holiday's and work, that i have not had time to take a look. but tomorrow i will be checking on that to find out if it is the drums.

I'd also check whether the brakes are dragging. That'll keep them extra hot all the time. A common problem is the caliper slide pins are seizing not allowing the caliipers to slide properly.

Not meaning to sound like a jerk, but if you say money is no problem, then maybe you should sell this car and buy one that is more suited to your driving style?
