Default break problems

I have a 92, and this past week its been about 95 degrees everyday. the past two days I have noticed that my brakes are really soft!!! i checked the fluid, theres no leeks. What could be the problem!?!

welcome!

the most likely problem is that moisture got into the brake system and lowered the boiling temperature of the lines. now when you step on the brakes the fluid heats up and "boils" creating gas in the lines, which is compressible.

bleed the brakes and you should be fine.

Is the pedal soft all of the time? Or does it only occasionally sink to the floor after the vehicle is already stopped?

If the brake pedalsinks to the floor, especiallymore often in hot weather, then its most likely the Master cylinder. I have the same problem on my 94.

replace the brake master cylinder .. there is a write up on our DIY section ..
