Default burning too much motor oil

My accord seems like burning too much motoroil. Its a 2000 accord lx, 4cyl, auto with 86000 miles. I change the oil one month ago. At that time i check the dip stick the oil level was little above the top hole. Today, after 1000 miles,i check again it only has about 1/8 of an inch at the tip of the dip stick.I don't find any oil leak stain on the ground. Can some honda fan tell me where to check for the problem? Thanks for anyone who can help out.

first thing to consider is if you check your oil while the car is on a slope, it will effect the reading.

next, have someone follow you and have them watch for blue smoke.

if there is blue smoke then compression and leak down tests are in order

Also make sure to check your oil levels when your car is cold or has been sitting overnight.

Inspect the intake duct downstream of PCV air outlet. If it's coated w/ oil and grime, the PCV is allowing too much oil vapor to be pushed into the inlet. Check the PCV valve (should rattle and check air flow in one direction) and PCV hose (clear of any blockage).

If PCV is working OK, that leaves two possibilites; valve stem seals or worn engine (excessive oil bypassing rings).

good luck

You could be burning it. Or check your anti-freeze and see if its really dirty. It could be leaking into it meaning you have a head gasket leak or intake manifold leak.

Most common leak point is the drain plug. You said that there's no puddle, but you might have just not noticed it. If the crush washer isn't changed when changing the oil, it can leak very easily.
