A/C Compressor help!!!
Have a 2000 2.3L. Started the task of removing the ac compressor. Well got down to it and needed to remove the ac manifold (at least thats what I was told it was). There are four hex patterned bolts that are required to come off to remove the lines and put in the new one. Got to looking at it. none of the 2 new sets of hex's that I bought fit (one metric set and one standard). still to no avail neither of the three other hex bolts will remove nor do I now what to do about the stripped bolt. I have easy outs. but overnight parts from cali is an added 20 bucks from the dealer. Any suggestions on the removal and uninstallment of this ac compressor and ac manifold would be greatly appreciated.

There is 1 bolt on each hose connection to the compressor (10mm socket size). Disconnect compressor electrical connector. Then remove 4 long bolts which hold compressor to engine and compressor bracket. These 12mm socket size bolts. That's all that needs to be removed. Alternator must be removed for access.
The "ac manifold" is part of the compressor and does not need to be removed except to transfer to a new compressor. The bolts are hex drive and if stripped, you may use a "craftsman rounded bolt socket" to remove.
good luck

Hi Texas Honda. Is the "AC Manifold" the part that is bolted to the high pressure discharge port on the compressor? It has those two little bolts? I got one bolt out today and stripped the other one. Is it possible to buy a new AC Manifold part somewhere? Can't seem to find it. Was trying to remove it from my old compressor to install on my new one. The new compressor did not come with this part. Would need to buy a new one if I can't remove the stripped bolt. I'll look for the rounded bolt socket too. Thank you sir! BTW, I have a 2007 Accord SE.
