The driver side fan worked when the AC was on and the passenger side fan was unplugged and cooled my car. The driver side fan though is usually the one that turns on when the temperature rises a bit, if its hot outside sometimes the driver's side fan will stay on after i turn the car off so im not sure which fan is which.

My thing is though if its just the motor wouldnt the fan blade still move if i touched it manually? Or does the motor hold the fan intact so it only moves when the car tells it to? The driver side fan if i touch it, it moves, a simple tap will do, the passenger side fan is rough and will only move if i push the fan with some force...

With the ac on BOTH should run. Yes, they should spin manually. A small push and it will spin. The one not spinning (without force) is not working correctly...and I'm like Jim, using my 95 as the example but they should all spin with little effort.

4 cylinder and v6 the fans are reversed,,,,,,,,,,

I4 the a/c condenser fan in the one on the driver side ,,,another way to tell is to locate the compressor , the fan closest to it ( in front ) is the a/c fan ,
on v6 the a/c fan is the one on passenger side..

you unplugged the a/c fan being your car is a v6,,you cannot drive the car with that fan not working,, it will raise the pressure in the a.c system and will cause problems ,,,,,,,,,also having both fans working it will help on cooling the engine better especially now that is summer,, both fans should work to avoid more expensive issues

Good call the compressor is on the passenger side and its the fan directly in front thats not working. Apart from the name and function is there a difference in the 2 fans? Can i jus go and say i need a fan? or do i have to specify condenser fan

The assembly will contain the blade and the metal shroud that bolts to the radiator. The motor is all you need.

If the assembly is cheaper or is available closer to you then get that. Maybe most junkyards sell the whole assembly?

The problem fan is your passenger side? That would be condenser fan. Sorry for my mistake on the earlier post.

If you order from one of the places through car-part, just specify the drivers or passenger side to ensure you get the right part.

If I am following your thread correctly you want the condenser fan motor, please double check which motor you need. The assembly is the fan motor, the fan blade and the housing that contains all of this. You can get just the motor new from Majestic Honda for around $160 which looks like the same as most of the used parts on the website your used.
