you have to remove glove box and support bar. once you do that, remove clips holding plastic case together. after that, remove both filters and use a shop vac to clean up the mess.

The support bar really sucked in my car. The screws were really way too tight and even with an appropriately sized screw driver I about stripped both. I eventually took a pair of vice grips and loosened 'em up that way.
