can't access window regulator removal bolts
2005 Accord Coupe. Right passenger window is all the way up, not working and the window regulator needs replacement/removal. To access the bolts holding it to the door panel, the window needs to be lowered, but it won't lower due to it is not operating. Any suggestions on how to lower the regulator apparatus to it's bolt removal location in the door panel?
Thanks a lot.

1. Are you sure that the window regulator doesn't work? Usually on most Hondas, when the power window regulator fails, the window is in the down position, not up.
Did you try applying direct 12 volt power to the regulator motor? To try lowering it, apply power (+) to the #6 terminal and ground (-) to the #3 terminal on the motor plug. Only do so briefly, as to not burn out the motor if it is good.
2. If the motor/regulator really is bad and the window is all the way in the up position, then cut the regulator steel cable and the window will come down. Have someone help hold the glass, as it will no longer be supported. Then remove the two glass mounting bolts from the regulator. (Use masking tape to hold the glass up after the bolts are removed.)
Although not your problem. If the window was in the down position and the glass mounting bolts did not line up with access holes, you could remove the 4 regulator mounting bolts and then move the entire regulator/glass assembly to access the 2 glass mounting bolts.

UPDATE:
During a stop at the post office, I recalled the key fob has a automatic window down feature by holding the door unlock button two times. To my amazement, the right side door window opened. However, now it won't close. The good news is the window regulator functions. The bad news is the window switch assembly has a problem (or so I am guessing so). I am also guessing the problem must be in the right door window switch, but I wonder if the problem is in the driver's master side? Also, how do I close the window What can I do to close the window and how to figure which switch (driver's of right side) is the one needing replacement.

See attached pic. for numbering of terminal pins. Run power either from your car battery or a 12 volt power source. I use a 12 volt lantern battery for testing.
