Give us some info about your car. Better yet, put it in your signature, so you don't have to remember.

Thanks for the update. In your CP you have to enter a signature, then you have to click on something to show your signature.

I would clean the EGR ports. In the common DIY thread on top of the gen tech forum, there is a link to cleaning them on the 94-97 accords.

What about the spark plugs and the cap and rotor, were those changed as well?

Now that you mention it, it may have to do with the cap. Before I bought the car (for $500...) the guy had tried to replace the cap but said that they didn't have one for the accord and the dealership suggested a different one to him. Then when I went to autozone to get one, thy didn't have one with a gasket and the gasket wasnt used with the one the dealer suggested.

Where can I find a gasket for it so I can get a new cap and gasket???

I thought the o-ring came with the cap from the dealer?

See #2 in pic, or the o-ring is #10.

Then you are there, might as well get the rotor.

I will say the last dist cap I got for my 95 from carquest came with the o-ring???? Guess I got lucky.

Number 10 is what it's missing when I go to autozone. But the dealer didn't put the normal Honda accord cap on it. They told him they had to sell him a different one and fit it on there, but that one doesn't have a o-ring.

I'll get in there Monday morning and look at it and probably just get one from NAPA or something.

What is the rotor? The only rotor I know of is the brakes.

The dist rotor is #3 in the pic. Normal tune up consists of dist cap, dist rotor, spark plugs and inspection of the spark plug wires.

Highly suggest going to the dealer, or buy from a dealer online, and getting the cap (again comes with the o-ring) and the rotor.

O'reilys said they had the cap and the o-ring comes with it. There's one right by the place I'm going to pick up my crawfish from after work, so I'm grabbing that first...
