Changed cooling system 96 Honda accord, now its overheating with dirty fluid?
Hi, I have a 96 Accord, no vtech, and have changed the cooling system and put new fluid in.. It has been about 3 wks and now its overheating again and has dirty fluid. The fan comes on but Im not sure how long it stays on.. but ive seen it work so i dont think that the issue. New thermostat, new radiatior, initially put fresh fluid. Never bleed after putting new radiator on

You may have air trapped in system. There is a bleeder on top of engine just behind the distributor. w/ cold engine start engine and open bleeder until stream of fluid emerges, close bleeder.
There should be two fans and both should come on w/ AC or when engine reaches full operating temp, just below halfway on temp gauge.
What do you mean "dirty fluid"? Does it have oil in coolant, rust, large bolts or what?
Were all these parts replaced after a major overheating incident?

Hopefully, bleeding will cure the problem.
If overheating occurs rapidly and evidence of overflow into the coolant reservoir, you may have a damaged head gasket from previous overheating incident.
Smell the coolant for a quick check, if you get a gasoline smell, head gasket should be checked w/ a chemical test on coolant for evidence of exhaust gases in coolant.
