changing trans fluid
Hello,
I have a problem to remove the trans plug. It is so hard .
On Honda Pilot engine, the trans plug is on the right side, therefore, I just using my foot and push in (from the front of the car) to remove the plug.
On Honda Accord engine, the plug is on the left, therefore I have to pull out (from the front of the car)
I guess I can jack the car up, but I wander do you have any trick to remove the plug without jack up the car ?
Thank you

If you're using a 3/8" ratchet to attempt removal, you are lacking adequate leverage. Try some of the following:
1) 1/2" Ratchet w/ 1/2x3/8 adapter
2) 1/2" Breaker Bar w/ 1/2x3/8 adapter
3) 1/2" Air Impact w/ 1/2x3/8 adapter
Weak link will be the 1/2x3/8 adapter. I've sheared these off before in other high-torque application. Let's hope some of above will work.
I've found this plug to be very tight but did manage to release w/ 1/2" ratchet and adapter.
good luck

Couple Honda automatics that I've done for friends, that plug is very tight but snaps loose very suddenly.
I use a 3.8" breaker bar that's only about 12" long. Then I put a piece of pipe over it to make it longer...
