check engine light coming on
hey guys i have a 90 honda accord and i swapped a 92 JDM h22a into it.
the check engine light came on and it was misfiring so i changed the spark plugs, wires, distributer cap, and rotor. My timing is also off and i dont know if the check engine light came on because of that or because of the misfiring. What are some ways to find out and if you have any ideas please get back to me.

RE: check engine light coming on
another question i have is how do i adjust the timing on my h22a.. its different from the original accord motor.
someone told me that i should use a timing light and set it to 15 degrees. is that correct?

Yeah, that sounds like a question for deserthonda, hondadude, chiovnica (all 3 are honda techs), shadow, or velocifero(both have h22s)
You may want to start a new thread entitled "How do I adjust the timing on an H22?"

Use a timing light and set it to the red mark.
