your gonna need an OBD2 reader to find out the code. the plug is located behind the ashtray under the radio. after that you can just google the code and it will show you the problem.

1990 accords dont have a connector to jump. It should have an led on the ecu. (if it's the stock ecu)

so i took it to a shop and got the correct code coming out of it and it says that its the VTEC oil pressure switch.
i think its by the solenoid if im correct but i dont know how to tell if i need a new one or what

What was the EXACT CODE NUMBER? Example: P0123
I don't ever trust what the "shop" says.
Even if I took my car to the Honda dealer, I would ask them for the exact code number.

If you go to http://www.dhost.info/accordinfo/ and click on cylinder head valve train, a pdf opens that you can click on oil pressure switch. It goes through a test procedure. This is for a 94, but I will assume that it should be similar to the 90 accord.
I just read the previous post, I think that your car is OBDI, so the two possible codes are 21 or 22. On the top of that dhost page, there is a link for CEL code retrieval. Its very easy to do, so give that a shot. You might have to look at the ECU if the check engine light doesn't flash.
