I know you are not being a jerk.

This was a general topic. I still love my Accord!

GEEEZZZ guys, come on... Play nice now.

All this arguing about different cars & what's better seems kinda silly. Everyone has different needs & taste in cars, so it's good that they're all different.

I've had a couple VWs & liked them a lot. So what? They didn't rust out their rear wheel arches like Hondas do.

The only car I can remember hating was a '69 Opel Kadett with a bad auto-tranny. That car sucked.

Well, I was just talking about cars that I've owned. I never had either of those.

A friend of my daughter had a Passport/Rodeo. I guess it was OK?? I've never felt like I wanted anSUV, but that's different than hating it just for the sake of hating.

I almost bought a 2001 Jetta Wolfsburg Edition when I was looking for cars, along with a del Sol (technically a Civic convertible). After dealing with repairing VWs I stayed as far away from them as possible. The sexiness is just not worth the headache.

I had a '82 Rabbit & '86 Jetta GLi. They were reliable but I've heard that's gone downhill more recently.

Timing belts were easy, because it was a piece of cake to get the front pulley off.

well it depends on the year you live in, hey if it was 1998 again i would rather have an accord because theres more power and its larger and gas was cheaper than a dozen eggs (74 cents a gallon in Henderson NC that summer), but here in 2008 id rather have a 98' civic or maybe a 88' cr-x because with gas being OMFG outrageous id rather be pullin 45mpg highway doing 55 (via Civic or CR-X) than pushin 90 in an Accord and getting about half that (although if you drove it 55 you might still get 30mpg which isnt bad)
currently i have a 1981 Accord but its not running correctly so i cant get its actual mpg rating. i would much rather have a civic or CR-X but only ones i can find on craigslist have blown head gaskets
