Clutch Master Cylinder (help)
So my cmc took a dump..
trying to get the high pressure line back in and the fitting isn't going in far enough for the clip to go in.. anyone thats done this before got any tips for me? i know its in a tight spot but it doesn't seem like it should be this hard.. am i missing something?

thanks man that ones got a threaded fitting tho
i put the old one back in to test and the fitting slid right in.. after i looked at it closer it looks like it was either machined wrong or for a different fitting, theres subtle differences in the shape of the female and i was right it shouldn't be that hard lol
so now i have to decide if i buy 1 online and chance it doing the same thing.. or gut this 1 and put the plunger in the old housing.. this was the only place that had 1 in stock

If you need this running today and can not find another rebuilt master cylinder, you might be able to find a clutch master cylinder rebuild kit.
The kit is just the internals of the master cylinder. They are cheap and pretty simple to install. The seals are spring loaded, and I think they are held in by a snap ring. You'll want to make sure that the springs do not launch the internals all over the place. When you remove them in order, you can easily install the new parts.
Just use something to lubricate the seals when you go to install. There should be some instructions with it that tell you the proper way to install it.
