compressor

Can you tell us more details on why you are replacing the compressor? Has the R134a been removed from the system?
Replacing the compressor isn't too difficult. There are some other things you may want to service while you have the system apart. I replaced the o-rings, receiver/drier, and expansion valve, so I would not have to service my a/c for a long time.

All you need to do to swap out the compressor is to remove the R134a from the system (you should take it to a shop that can recover R134a). Loosen alternator to remove serpentine belt. Disconnect the two lines that go to the compressor. Remove 4 bolts holding in the compressor. You may need to remove the driver's side a/c fan to get a bit more room to pull out the compressor.
