The issue is that the rpms will drop to about 1000rpm for a second or two before going to normal 750rpm. This only started happening after my intake manifold swap. I donno if the IACV got damaged- I didnt drop it or anything- or if the new manifold is causing issues- which it shouldnt.

How were the throttle cables mounted/positioned? I had to drill a new hole in the middle of the F22's throttle cable bracket because neither of the existing holes was right. One was too tight, the other too loose. And there was no way that both plenum holes could be used. I just ended up using the single hole closest to the TB.

Oh, you did the swap too? I tried a few different things and ended up using one screw on the original position for the bracket and just angled it a little. I dont see that catching and when I checked my data the throttle position is at 9% at idle and when the car does its thing at 1000rpm so it appears its not a sticking cable. But I can try your method just in case.
BTW how did you arrange your vacuum hoses for the swap? I got it except for the IAR hose that goes into the manifold since I need the brake, cruise control, egr and fuel pressure regulator vacuums.

I swapped the whole F23 engine. Shouldn't make a difference, though. I ended up playing around with different positions of the bracket until I found one that allowed both the throttle and cruise cables some adjustment. That position was 1) a new hole drilled in the center between the two existing bracket holes and 2) bolting the bracket on the plenum hole closest to the throttle body. Not angled. It seems to work.

Re: vacuum lines, I just printed out the both the F22's and F23's vacuum diagrams and put the hoses where I thought they should go. I don't think F23s have IARs but using a vacuum tee fitting would probably work. I don't remember if I used one or not. Come to think of it, the only problem I have is with the cruise control: it works but the car slows down after hitting the Set Speed switch. After ten seconds or so it go back up to the set speed. Maybe I have a bad vacuum line somewhere or cruise control actuator going south.

Oh alright, Ill try a t with the cruise control I suppose, the IAR doesnt really do too much anyway. Ill try drilling a hole in the bracket too and see what that does. thanks

How about a vacuum leak?

Do the F22 and F23 intake manifolds use the same gasket?

Yeah, same exact gasket. direct fit. But perhaps... yet theres no CEL, hasnt been one. Id expect a lean code.
I could try the heat shield gasket recommended for the swap though. its just hard to pay $30 for a gasket, especially if its not a definite chance it will work.
Considering theres no lean code.

After cleaning IACV and reinstalling in accord 2000, is it possibl that water enters the IACV
causing engine misfire?

No, it doesn't even go into the iacv. It just goes into the bottom plate to keep the iacv from freezing in very cold temps. Take the plate off and see for yourself.
