Cooling Fan Won't Shut Off
Well appreciate any feedback. 2003 Accord EX V6, 197,000 miles. My fourth accord. Live in Phoenix and it was very warm today. The temp gauge on the dash indicated the car was running hot. This is very unusual as the car has been in this climate for four years. After stopping and shutting the engine off a fan of some kind continued to run. It ran at least 10 minutes and the engine smelled hot. Back in the car on the highway and the temp gauge gradually cooled down to just below midway which is the normal condition. Still smelled hot from the inside of the car. Got home, shut the engine off (smelled hot) and about five minutes later the fan came on and stayed on for 15-20 minutes. Any ideas pros?

well, id say its possible that the fans are not running while the cars on, or you are low on coolant. im sure there could be more reasons but thats what i came up with.
let the car idle for about 15 mins, if the guage goes higher than it should and the fans dont turn on, id put my bets on the cooling fan switch
