Cooling fans not working

I thought it should a least get warm. It's not even getting warm and the fan doesn't come on . I hope it's the thermostat.

the upper hose gets hot first, then as the coolant circulates in the block it warms up the thermostat which opens and allows hot coolant to flow through the radiator. the upper and lower hoses will be pretty much the same temperature at idle.

well, assuming your cooling system isn't clogged up with junk yeah, it should at least fix the problem with the lower radiator hose not warming up.
