Crankshaft Pulley Tool anybody know where I can get one or borrow!
#2
Perhaps someone has one to loan, but in case not, here are your options.
Tool can be purchased at many locations (ebay, amazon, etc) for $30-$50. I haven't seen any rental or loander tool offers for this item.
You can get a large nut and weld to a rod w/ plate gussets and "roll your own". I've seen numerous examples of this. If you take a picture to any welding shop, they should be able to manufacture for you. It will likely cost more than purchase options.
A 1/2" or 3/4" air impact wrench ( 400-900 ft-lbs capacity needed) w/ good air compressor and 1/2" ID hose will frequently break the bolt loose, and this does not require restrain. Mother nature supplies restraint w/ inertia! I have had success w/ air impact and failures to budge the bolt (1/2" ingersol rand).
good luck

If you search for tegger there is a "homemade" tool uning some pipe fittings if you can't wait...of course ask around or order one if you can would be best. Porb cost more in pipe fittings than one you could order.
