They hide fasteners all over the place on the door panels. It's a pain.
But it'll probably just sit in there & not hurt anything. Sorta unlikely that it would interfere with the window. Run the window up&down a few times to check.
Every once in awhile you could tell him that it fell out & you used it to buy a new car or whatever...

People squawk and whine about the poor quality work at the dealership, because all the top techs are leaving,[independent shops pay as well and NO warranty games]and the dealers are left with minimum wagemonkeys working in the shops.
Would you do that job for 12 minutes [2/10s]pay?
