Default D4 Flashing multiple codes no spark either

A friend has a 94 accord LX. D4 Codes 1, 8, 13, and 14. Car would drive normally and shift normally then one day just died. Car Cranks, but does not turn over. MIL does not turn on, only D4 light blinks for transmission codes. Also SRS light blinks code 5 long blinks followed by 2 short one. (have no idea what that is). Distributor is working and rotor is spinning so the timing belt is not broke.

I know code 1, and 8 are malfunctions in the lockup and shifting solenoids, 13 and 14 are to do with the TCU, but would these cause a NO SPARK senarios?

What was changed so far: Coil, igniter module, main relay, and TCU.
I was told the ECU may be the culprit, but wouldnt that kick the MIL light to come on?

Please help.

Clear the codes by pulling the 7.5 amp backup/radio fuse in the engine bay fuse box. Try to start the car and read the codes again and let us know what you find.

The 13/14 codes indicate a faulty ECM.

Codes dont reset. Guess I'm buying a new ECM. Could the bad ECm contribute to the the other codes too. Cause then I'm replacing some valve bodies too.

I would look for an ECM on sites like Ebay. It has to be from a 94/95 LX/DX with an automatic transmission. The EX and MT ECMs are compatible with your car.

You can also look for junkyard parts by looking at a site like car-part.com. You can sort by price or distance.

I have the same problem on my 1994 accord EX. I looked for a ecu on ebay and I see different parts. There is one labeled "chassis ecu" and the other just "ecu". Which ecu did you replace?

In 94 there's one for the engine & one for the auto-transmission. Not the whole "chassis". Manual-trans cars had only the engine controller.

Starting in 1998 they're combined into one "PCM" (powertrain control module).
