Darn Good Gas Mileage, 92 Accord
This last week took my newest Accord, 206,000 miles - '92 5-spd (a last winter shot, when I bought it) on 620 mile round trip. Up and back.
on 310 mile return trip, 2-lane roads, few towns, few stop lights, let me count those few stop lights ... uummm - 7 (if you don't count the one you can turn right on).
I filled up in the morning, reset the odometer. I've noticed I always get fabulous mpg whenever I stay the night at this place.
Magical gas. Anyway, got the best gas mileage ever for this car ...
at 143 miles
at 244 miles
at 310 miles trip ended. I started driving in normal area where I usually get ~30 mpg
and then at 350 miles
and the low fuel warning started to show at 503 miles
when filled up at 520 miles it took 14.8 gallons for 35+ mpg.
Considering that the last 200 miles were in more normal driving area where I've gotten 30 mpg before,
I must have been getting 38-39 mpg for the first 310 miles, basically almost non-stop trip.
Magical gas. Good car.

my 93 Accord
my 93 Accord could do 550 plus on a full tank! and if your gas gauge reads anything like mine does?i can drive 110 is when the gauge reaches the "F" mark.
i dont know exactly how many more miles i could have driven before the tank was empty?
but i wasent about to find out!but it made me feel Dam! good to see my "93 Accord" do that kind of miles on one tank!a 20yr.old car do that???i love "HER"
