Deal of a lifetime? Guy wants to trade me his 92' Prelude
#11
I ended up deciding against it. I went and test drove it the other day and realized what I was getting into. My automotive instructor advised against it too. He said I would just be fighting it the whole time. Although it was a fun car to drive and it handled extremely well. My automatic accord is still faster.
The computer was put in it because it's a PGM FI swap from carb. Makes sense now. He left that part out.
Thanks for your help though guys! My pipe dreams of owning a prelude will have to continue on.

Probably the best decision you could have made. Wiring done by those not well versed in doing it inevitably screw it up. I've worked with plenty of mechanics who are no good at all with wiring. Sometimes, what may appear to be a great deal, is actually a money pit in disguise. You made the best decision you could possibly make. I am a mechanic. Technician if you prefer. 20 years plus experience. I've also been to General Motors Specialized Electrical training as well as various electrical diagnostics classes on specialized equipment that I work on daily. I don't even look twice at any car with aftermarket anything electrical installed. Even stereo equipment....I've had to undo a whole lot of damage from that....even stuff done by "professional installers". Best to find something unmolested, even for a project....sean
