No, the Mitsuba relay has caused fuel system failures in Accords andAcuras since at least 1990. I don't know why they are such a continuing problem. That relay should last the life of the car if designed correctly. I think the fault is too high current in the field winding of the coil. The entire relay is almost hot to the touch. This can't be good for longevity.
Of the faults that get posted on this forum, I would rank MFR very near if not at the top.

Ah I see. the BWD part apparently lasts a considerablely shorter amt of time. like I said the only issue I had with the mitsuba unit was the non starting on hot days. this newer part i guess decided to short out. Im going to buy a new Mitsuba unit and see what that does. thanks again for all the help.
