Default Dinging noise under dash

2009 Honda Accord EX, 35K miles. 4 cyl. Today I heard a noise I have never heard in a car before. Under the dash in the area of the glove box I heard three "dings". Sounded like someone tapped on a water glass. About five minutes later it did the exact same thing. After that I did not hear it again. My first thought was it was a warning for a low tire but know that is covered by a warng on the dash. I thought it possibly could be from the heating system because I did have my heater on. It was not like a noise I had heard before in another car which was the small a/c door under the dash opening and closing.... No lights were on in the dash... any ideas?

Hard to call....but there are air mix motors that can "hunt" around and sometimes cause a noise.

Thanks Poorman... This is going to be a hard one. In order to pin point where the sound is coming from I pretty much have to have my head under the dash when it happens and at this point I will assume the car has to be going down the road. Add in that it hasn't done it but twice. Even if I could get a friend to stick his head under the dash while I drive around he could be under there for days. LOL I will just have to wait until the noise happens a lot more ofton.... Thanks again

If you find a friend willing to do that; you might get it to make the sound more often by switching around the ventilation settings as many different ways as you can.
