My Driver seat is worn, and a bit uncomfortable, would it be possible to swap over the driver seat cushion, cover, and the seat back from the driver side to the passenger side and vice versa?
I am asking if both seats and backs are interchangeable, and if it is a difficult job to do the swap.
Yes, the driver seat is power adjust and the passenger side is not. so the bases and mounting will need to stay in the original places.

The lumbar support and the seat tilt, etc are on the outside of both seats. You'll have to inspect if the controls will be difficult to move.

Another option would be to find a driver's seat in good condition at a salvage yard and install a new seat. That would be much easier to do.

 

Where do you think I would be able to find a blue leather seat in better condition than the one I have already, 135,000 miles.
I would likely need to go to a bigger metro area than Western NY.

I really don't care if I give up the lumbar support. and if the cushion and cover assembly is removable from the base, I could leave the tilt adjuster in place and swap only the parts I need.

 

You can search a site like car-part.com to see what is out there for seats. You can search by price or distance. Can't hurt to call some junkyards too.

Switching tracks shouldn't be too bad of a job in theory. For example, I am not sure if the passenger lower seat cushion will only mount to only the passenger frame?

 

If you can take the 2 seats apart, it may be easier to swap the covers (& maybe the padding) side-to-side, rather than modifying the controls & tracks.
