ECM/TPS/Baro sensor 04 accord
#11
Right now, there isn't anything that indicate a need to replace the throttle body. Honda doesn't sell the TPS separately from the throttle body, so their service instructions would be to replace the throttle body when there is a faulty TPS. --Even if you were to replace the throttle body, you would need to transfer over the rotary air control valve (unless a used one comes with it, a new one doesn't unless you purchase it). On most Hondas, the rotary air control valve is attached with tamper-resistant 5-point star Torx screws. The tool bits to remove the 5-point star screws are not usually readily available like regular 6-point Torx tool bits at auto parts places.
Check these before replacing TPS (from post # 6 above):
Check for debris holding the throttle valve open or a tight throttle cable. (There should be 3/8 to 1/2 inch [10 to 12 mm] of free play in the throttle cable.)
Check for poor connections or loose terminals at the TP sensor and the ECM/PCM.
