Default Electrical issue - wiper switch 95 LX

First off, new member, first post - and not sure why... I have owned/driven Honda Accords since 1990.
Now - I just sold my temp Accord I owned while stationed in Portugal (1999 EX, US Spec) and grew quite fond of the adjustable intermittent wiper switch. Fast forward to now, and as luck would have it, my non-adjustable intermittent wiper switch on my 95 LX is acting up. It appears to have a limp spring - it does not "snap" back to the up position, but still works okay. Occasionally, it drifts downward while driving and the wipers stop. Okay, time for a new one.
Finally my question. Does anyone know if the newer part from the 1997 LX will bolt in and work in the 95? The newer part has the adjustable intermittent switch instead of the "INT" setting - which I would like. My only concern is that the 1995 electronics will not recognize the adjustability of the new switch. Part #'s are below:
1995 LX - 35256-SM4-G81
1997 LX - 35256-SV7-A01
Before I go junkyard diving, want to know if I can easily upgrade...

I don't think that the 95 accord wiring will plug into a 96/97 switch. I remember when my wiper switch broke, I went to the U-Pull-It yard and didn't think it would work without some electrical modifications. I am not sure what controls the intermittent setting on the wiper.

You would have to look at the wiring diagram for the 96 and compare it to the 95. I think the integrated control unit behind the fuse box handles this.
