Default eLECTRICAL sYSTEM sHORT?

Hello out there! I have a 98 Accord LX v-6 and right now, my dash is all lit up and there is a load on my electrical system. It goes away when I gun it and the tach swings past 4500 rpm. The lights that are on are: BATTERY, TAIL LAMPS OUT, BRAKE LIGHT, AND DOOR OPEN LIGHTS. i RECENTLY WASHED THE ENGINE AND GOT THE CRANK POS SENSOR WET, COULD THE ENGINE CLEANING BE CAUSING THIS?

My guess would be related to the alternator. Check alternator connectors and wiring first.

At worst, something inside the alternator got shorted or damaged. You can get the alternator tested for free at an auto parts store.
