Engine stall intermittently
Hi, friend of mine has a 98 accord with 55K miles on it has developed problem lately. Here are the symptoms:
Going on for 4+ years:
Occassionally, on very hot days, when the car has een parked in the sun for a period of time, the car will not start. when first tun the key, the car starts up as usual, but the immediately dies as thought it were not getting any gas. When try to start it again, the engine cranks but does not start. If left till it cools down later in the day, it will start with no problem. Dealer recommended solution already tried: replaced electronic ignition switch - no improvement. Recently, when driving come to a stop and foot off the gas, engine stops as if no gas. If coast to the road side and sit for a minute, it start right up.
Which to change first? Main fuel pump relay, ignition coil or fuel pump.
Thanks in advance, Frank
