Default engine temp fluctuations

I have a C32 v6 in an acura legend, and I have to keep adding coolant to it, and I can't find any leaks. Sometimes the temp guage will go up past 3/4, so I shut it off, and it will gurgitate air and or coolant into the overflow. I can drive it down the highway for 50 miles and the guage stays steady, but get into town, and that's where it starts to get hotter. The thermostat has been changed twice. The water pump is 2 years old. The radiator cap has been changed twice. The fans both work, and I replace one of the relays recently. Any ideas? Thanks in advance for your help

Has anyone ever cleaned out the fins on the radiator? how old is the radiator? My 91 Mustang was having a similar problem and all it took was cleaning out the radiator fins.

Can you smell coolant near the engine bay when the car is running? Is there any smoke coming out of the exhaust andfinlally, does the car burn any oil?

The radiator is pretty new, less then 2 years old. As far as dust, dirt, etc. build up on the outside of the radiator there isn't any. There is no smell of coolant in the engine bay or inside the car. The car does not burn any oil and there is no smoke coming out the tailpipe. Also, something is causing coolantto come outof the overflow after the gauge goes above the normal operating temp.?? Any help would be much appreciated!

Part of this sounds like the radiator cap, but thats new...

Check the surfaces (2 different levels) where the radiator cap seals against in the radiator neck. Look for deep scratches where it can leak.

Check the hose going to the reservoir. As the engine cools down,it sucks coolant back in. If the hoseleaks, its like sucking thru a straw with a hole - you get air into the radiator.
