EVAP Control System Leak..
Code 90 (9 Long Blinks)
P1456 EVAP Control System Leak Near Fuel Tank
P1457 - EVAP Control System Leak Near Canister
I've been getting this code for the past few weeks, A few months ago as well but it went away and started coming back recently. I tightened the gas cap 3 clicks and even reset the CEL but it keeps coming back.
What is the "Canister" mentioned in the P1457 description? Is it fixable if this is the problem?
Thank you for any input, greatly appreciated.

See if this helps for P1457. Its mostly the Evap Vent Shut valve.
Search for P1457 and you will find a write up by Jim Blake or PAHonda in complete detail on how to root cause this issue. Its near perfect write up!

You mention P1456 and P1457. Which one? Or is it actually throwing both?

The EVAP canister is located under the car, pretty much below the left-rear seat. Kneel down alongside the rear door & look underneath, just forwards of the rear wheel-well.

I actually jumped 2 pin connectors and the code was 90. I dont think its the gas cap because I keep tightening the gas cap atleast 3 clicks and resetting but light comes back on.
I am looking into replacing the EVAP Control Canister Vent Shut Valve OR the Purge Valve.
Are these 2 the same thing?

EVAP purge valve is up at the intake manifold. EVAP Vent-shut valve is underneath the car, on the outboard end of the EVAP canister.
Take either one of these, and use jumper wires to connect directly to the battery. When my EVAP vent-shut valve went bad, it was corroded shut and wouldn't even make a "click" when I connected it to the battery.
If the valve DOES click, you can check that it changes state (open vs. closed) by trying to blow air through it. I don't have a list of which valves are normally-open or normally-closed, but a failed valve will normally just fail to operate at all.
