RE: extended warranty
I work on my own cars, so extended warranties generally don't make $en$e for me. But...
Is it really from Honda? If it's from the dealer or a 3rd-party, what happens if you move & can't come back to the same dealer?Make sure you understandthe rules?

RE: extended warranty
The answer to your question really depends on the warranty coverage in months and mileage and what is covered compared to what isn't. And also your driving habits (how many miles you travel annually in the Accord.
First of all, in 2006 Honda started covering the powertrain to 60 months / 60,000 miles at no additional cost http://www.cars.com/go/crp/research....Selection=true
So you really have to way that in to what you are protecting. Tranny issues seem to have decreased but little problems with power steering pumps and racks and items that used to give no trouble have come into play.
The knee-jerk answer to this questionis no, you don't need an extended warranty but you simply have to get a calculator and descern what components exactly that you are protecting yourself against the failure of and their costs of replacement.
Hope this helps,

RE: extended warranty
Is it a v6? If so i would say yes, we dont see alot but their still fairly new, and given hondas transmission problems with v6's in the past i dont think it would be a bad idea, depends on if you think you could replace one on your own or not, theirs always used options too. The extended warrantys will also usually cover other things besides powertrain issues such as power windows, seats, and SRS issues. Something you may want to look into.....
