It does not sound like an engine knock to me. Engine knock is more metallic and sharp. More likely something faulty on timing belt (loose tensioner, misaligned). Remove upper timing belt cover and listen again. If noise is louder, you know to look closer.

Possibly could be an exhaust rattle, but has an "internal sound" to me.

I would suggest removing accessory belts and making sure noise is not something to do w/ accessory items; AC compressor, Alternator, or Power Steering.

good luck

Its not exhaust. I know that for sure. It seems to be coming from the head area.
Perhaps its valve train noise but I do not know. I have looked everywhere and
See a few people with the same problem on this motor.

I know it's not an engine knock. I had that in a saturn lol. Sounds like a clunking/rattling. It doesn't happen at idle, only when revving or driving. Its driving me nuts. Along with the
Lower front signal light vibrating and rattling. I also noticed my suspension making a noise when I hit a bump. Thats a true clunk lol. Somethings loose.

My worries is the sound of the motor.

doesn't sound like valvetrain noise, more like some pulley or timing belt tensioner bearing going bad???
