F23A1 oil consumption remedy ?
Okay guys.. i have an 02 LX 4 cyl F23A1 5 speed.. and i posted before about it's excessive oil consumption.. i've replaced the PCV valve with a Genuine Honda part.. and that didn't change anything.. maybe slightly at best..
well following the write up i found here

i'm currently in the waiting stages of this procedure..
I purchased the top engine cleaner (diff part number now #88861802 just like he said) from a local chevy dealer.. and at about 9pm EST there was 4 ounces in each cylinder.. i'm letting it soak overnight.. i have fresh oil and a genuine Honda filter lined up for after the fire up/burn off part..
I'll let you know if it works in about a week i guess.. (my typical driving habits means about a week from this being done i should know for sure if it's still burning oil)
just thought i'd share what i found and that i'm personally trying it.. so i'll keep you updated on if it helps or solves it completely or does nothing... i do know one thing.. a local Honda tech who has personal experience with GM top engine cleaner from past jobs said it does an AMAZING job at breaking up carbon/varnish build ups, and if my oil control rings are varnished/gummed up he said this should work like a charm.. so we'll see. at the very least i'm getting a very thorough upper cylinder cleaning and a lot of carbon removed..
