you know where i can get an f23 trans from for a good price, even if its just the housing? im thinking about just looking in a junk yard but if some one knows where i can get one not from a junkyard thatll be cool. the most important thing is a good housing cuz im gonna rebuild it no matter what

well first i just want to get it back on the road, so 160ish hp but also 160ish tq. Then next winter i'm going to build it with a goal of 250-300whp and a ton of torque naturally aspirated.

my last setup made 191whp and 150ish wtq, and torque is far more important than hp.

ya well like right now my goal is to get this f23 stuffed into my civic and just run it stock and get to know the motor some and just get a good feel for the kind of power im dealing with. then i want to pull it out over the summer again and start rebuilding to what i think my car can handle. i mean my goal is to try and get maybe 500horse and about the same in torque. its gonna be a pretty big rebuild and i dont even know if i can go that high of power cuz my car is pretty small. but thats why i just want to drive it around stock for a while and see how much power i think it can take.

Well a B series is a much better choice for high horsepower(esp for a civic) than a F23, but to each his own.

and what are you going to use for mounts? h22 mount kit?

ya i actually found some H&F series motor mounts on passwordjdm. another thing i wanted though was some new cv axles but i havent been able to find any anywhere. and ya right now im just trying out this motor and see how well i can get it to perform in my civic and then later on i was thinking about building another civic but with a b-series in it. if at the absolute worst i dont like how the f23 performs in my civic ill just buy an accord and put it in there, but like i said its all just experimental for me right now. and i know i plan on builiding a b-series later on, hopefully i can start another civic next year if i can get this civic done this year.

You should at least do a F2B set up with a B series tranny as they are geared better and would be easier to swap in, as you would prob have to get custom axles to run a f tranny as i doubt regular accord axles bolt up.

ya thats what i kind of figured about the axles because i looked on a lot of sites and the best i could find were b-series rated for about 200hp. but i dont really know what transmission im going to put in yet. i kind of want to do a six speed in there, but that might be pushing things a little lol. idk if i decide to then ill just get some custom axles made up
