Default Front Left Shaking !!!!!

in my 2000 Accord there is a shaking at 60 mph and above on the front left...but it rides smoothe for like a few seconds and then a little shake....and also when i hit even the slightest pothole on the front left it feels almost as if the front tire is in midair and rattling back and forth extremely fast. and it jerks the steering wheel to either the left or right depending on which way i hit the pothole...this is really an inconvienence(sp) and scary to think my frigin wheel is gonna fall off.......please help to tell me wut i can do to fix this!!!!

a few possibilities, control arms, loose lug nuts or the wheel bearing.... quick simple test, jack up the car and try to wiggle the tire/rim back and forth, if it wiggles that easily check to make sure the lug nuts are tight, then watch behind the tire as you wiggle it to see if something is loose/giving back and forth....

Also if you have any play back and forth or side to side check to make sure your ball joints dont have any play. That would not be a good thing if it breaks.
