Fuel filter line help
#11
Roader....good luck on the swap....if my reading is correct there are a few options on getting around the security system on the ecu....tape a key, remove the unit from the ecu, creative wiring to the relay/pump/ect.......
Please keep us updated on how you go about this.
Also, and most important to me, be sure to use FI rated hose and clamps and your should be fine.

My concern is Roader plans on running the 2.2L ECU ie. 96-97 F22
I have never heard of the 2.2L ECU running the 2.3L motor
The best way is to run the 6th gen steering column with the 6th gen key (as far as I understand)

Fuel line repair went fine. For the splice I cut out a piece of line from the banjo side of the filter from a junkyard car and used two SS clamps on either end.
Not much info on F23 swaps in 5th gen cars. Quite a bit for the same swap in 4th gen cars, probably because low mileage F22B1s are getting hard to find. IDK for sure if the P0H ECU will play nice with the F23. 100cc more displacement doesn't seem that big of a deal. What concerns me more is the higher compression ratio: 9.3 for the F23A1 vs. 8.8 for the F22B1. The 23's block has a knock sensor in it but of course the P0H ECU has no way of using it.
I guess I'll find out after I get the engine/trans back in.
