going fix oil in plugs problem....question
92 lx accord 2.2 auto ac. 297k miles
plan to use the felpro gasket kit vs50365r to replace the upper seals and lower seals, valve cover, and grommetsto stop the oil in theplug well problem.
Have done the uppers before and still find oil so I'm sure its the lower seals.
I checked out the write up by DH - looks very complete.
since I'm in there, should I adjust valves as well once I put the rockerback on?
do I need to since I end up taking it off (does this screw them up?)
Other sites say it is a must.
Will this seal and valve job be easy for a newbie?

RE: going fix oil in plugs problem....question
valve job has a write-up as well, it's easy to do with what's called a go, no go guage and just a 10mm wrench (I think), I'd advise you do it while it's open, it should only take about 10 minutes (up to 30 if you go really slow and take your time). It needs to be done every 30k miles or so anyway so just do it while you're dirty

if the valves have been recently adjusted there is no need to readjust them,
if you do not know when or it has been at least 30k adjust the valves
if you do not know when or it has been at least 30k adjust the valves

RE: going fix oil in plugs problem....question
When my daughter had a '92 I used that FelPro gasket set. The main VC gasket around the outside of the VC seemed to be about 1/8" too long. It wanted to bulge out of it's groove at one point or another. It took a bit of work to hold it in place, but once I did it was good. No leaking.
I set it down carefully, first at the rear, so the bulging was located in the front (above exhaust manifold). Then I used a putty knife to push it into place as I finished setting down the front of the VC.
