Ok,, on the serious side .. take car back to dealer and politely express your concern,, if they say that it is normal , ask them to let you test drive another car ,, if it makes the same noise, than you can be satisfied ,,,, but if it does not , ask them why yours makes noise and demand to have it taken care of ..

Please provide details on what car you have and what you are experiencing. When this thread originated the cars were new, now with the age on the cars there can be many other causes for a grinding noise. It might be worth just starting a new thread.

Grinding noise is likely a wheel bearing that's seen better times. Mine is doing the same thing. Jack the car up and move the wheel in 12-6-3-9 o'clock positions. If you have play side to side especially its the wheel bearing... Or the outer tie rod but they thought that was the problem with mine before but it was in fact the wheel bearing.
