Default Guys, I need some opinions 07' V4 or V6

Hi Guys: I am planning to buy 2007 accord EX-L but still can't decide V4 or V6. What do you guys think? I wanted it to be fuel efficient but I am afraid the V4 can't move when it's going up a hill....... Thanks, guys!
Oh, one more thing, the sales give me $22000 for V4 includes every fees, except Tax. Do you think it's a good deal?

for me more power the better so get the v6. its a bit more pricey on gas though. but if you want fuel efficent then go with the i4 it would give you a couple more mpg then the v6.

The curb weight on it is about 3044 with 144 HP in the I4, compare that to a 94 accord at 2855lbs with 145 HP so it will be a tad bit more sluggish than a 94 accord but mine does just fine. I'd have no qualms about getting the 4cyl vs V6 and saving about 4-5 gallons/mile. Here's some side by side specs. If mileage is a concern then figure it this way. It will take 5 gallons in a V6 to go the same distance as 4 gallons in the I4 so an extra $2.25 (or however much gas is per gallon there) for every 100 miles you travel.

and 22,571 is invoice price for an 07 EXL (no navi etc) but invoice is 25,xxx for the V6 so I'd say 22 is a good deal for the V6 and a decent deal for the I4, I'd offer 20 and see what happens... BTW my HP ratings were way off, it's 166 vs. 244 so you've got more HP/LB with the 07 than a 94 ex has and I've never had problems with my car and I have to drive over 2 passes just to get to spokane. Just figure that you can pull better but a 200 mile round trip is going to cost you about $10.00 more in the V6 vs. I4..

If you go for the I4 offer 20k and see what they say or go 22k on the V6....just my opinion

Thanks, guys! Other dealership offered me 22700, so I asked 22000 included all fees except Tax. Yes, I think I should asked a lower price than that. Tomorrow I will go down there in person, hope I can save couple more hundreds there. Also, I will be financing, hope they will not play gimmicks on me. Otherwise, I'll be very mad, then the deal is off.

are you trading anything in? If so that can make a big difference in your "haggling" ability.... I just did a quick rough search through Autotrader.com for 07 exl's and those prices seem pretty right on. You may be able to get down to 21k but I'd be suprised if you could go lower than that (unless honda is offering rebates/incentives) let us know how it turns out and give us some photos! If you were up in Montana I could possibly have gotten you a better price (I have a friend that works for a Honda dealership)

so about $460/month at 7% intrest for a brand new car plus about 200-250/month insurance.... not bad at all why do you want to make the loan so short? are you planning on selling after 3 years and getting a 2010 model possibly? If that's the case you may want to consider a lease option....

No, I wasn't planning to sell after 3 years. In fact, I am planning to keep it for very long time. It costs less than the loan for longer period. Now, I am trying to get the best deal for my new car. When they offer me a good price, I will think that there maybe some gimmicks behind it. I am confusing now! [&:]

I wouldn't be to concerned about gimmicks... they have to disclose everything about the deal so just pay attention to your paperwork, if they are doing the financing then the paperwork will layout purchase price, fees (titling etc), taxes and such (I'm soooo glad montana doesn't have sales tax yet....) just look at the numbers and you're safe and feel free to ask LOTS of questions
