Hand Break & TCS Indicators On

Hand Break & TCS Indicators On
Hello Folks,
I need some help here with my Accord Coupe 2003 V6.
The Hand Break light is on lately whenever the car is started and it stays on all time, even though the Hand Break is not in use. Also, as soon as the HB light is on, the Traction Control System (TCS) would come up right after.
Is this some kind of censor device problem, and what are the possible solutions to this?
Thanks so much!

First, deal with the handbrake warning lamp - it might be causing the TCS error. The TCS is supposed to disable itself with the handbrake.
Check the switch at the base of the handbrake lever. You might have to open part of the console to see it. It's a little button that is pushed down by the handbrake lever when the lever is DOWN. The bracket might be bent or something.
Check the brake fluid reservoir. Low fluid will also set off this lamp. I think 2003 has a newer sensor in the reservoir, NOT the older type with a float-switch in the cap. Still, that sensor might be at fault. Or maybe the fluid IS low.
