What engine? Vtec or non-vtec? Did you do any recent service on the car? It may be the sparkplug seals in the valve cover or the rocker arm seal. Please gurus correct me if im wrong.
I cured mine with replacing the sparkplug seals in the valve cover but mine is a 96 accord lx, im not 100% sure if the same goes for your accord.
Goodluck

there are several things that could cause this. I'd start with the plug seals.
How much oil are we talking about?
Elemintating your heater would be a pain in the butt and wouldn't do anything for you. If your heater control (can't remember the actual part name) thingy is working then the heater core wont even be hot. The problem resided with your AC.

The 2001 engine doesn't have the lower seals that are mentioned in that post. You only have the upper seals, which are normally part of the valve-cover gasket set. Easy to replace, but pay attention to their shape so you don't put them in upside-down.

For the heater, you can verify that the control valve is closing off. There is a cable adjustment that can be done....or pop the cable off and manually close it. Still need to be sure the valve is working - usually they fail internally - meaning it will "look closed" but still allow coolant to flow thru.
