Default Heat doesn't get warm...

94 accord LX, Had no heat last winner but it wasn't driven much. AC worked fine all summer. What could be the problem? Coolant level is fine fuses are fine too. I don't have a lot of money so this fix will have to be me alone so any advice would be so greatly appreciate it. I've heard it could be the heater core leaking , How would I check that? And by leaking, wouldn't there be something on the ground? Forgive me but I do not know

Along with my not having any heat in my 94 Honda accord I now notice that my windshield is fogging up excessively when I run the heater... I get a small amount of heat but I believe that's from the engine.

The heater core is tied into the engine cooling system, so if you had a heater core leak, your engine would also eventually get low on coolant.

Start with the quick and simple stuff first.

Locate the 2 hoses that are feeding the heater core in the engine bay. They are ~3/4 inch diameter black rubber hoses that enter the firewall in the area behind the distributor. One of the hoses will have a plastic valve, where a cable attaches to a swing arm. Have an assistant turn the temperature dial inside the car while you watch the cable. Let us know if the cable moves the valve when the temperature is adjusted.

you might also want to make sure that your t-stat is not stuck on the open position

Candi do you have a final update for this issue? I'm in the same situation and you may provide valuable information.
