Default HELP 96 accord stumbles while driving

96 accord 2.2 4cy
while driving on the highway it will stumble around 60mph.
i took it to honda dealership and they cant figure out what the problem is, they said when they drive it, its fine. but they dont drive it for a long time or go over 40 mph.
its not throwing any codes.
the stumble is really bad, ill be driving along and then all of a sudden (when i get up around 55-60mph) it will have a misfire-ish feeling, ill let off the gas and the stumble wont be as bad then when i press on the gas pedal again, the RPMs will rise but the speed wont, it will just stumble really bad. ill come to a complete stop and press on the gas again, fine. then itll get back up to a high speed and stumble more (usually at 2000-2500 rpm). then ill come to a complete stop again and at idle the whole car pulses, ill hit the gas and itll smooth out. i can get around town fine, going about 30-40 mph tops (i can still feel it shuddering lightly).

all new/replaced: all motor mounts, distributor, alternator, starter, battery. just did the timing belt, valve adjustment, rocker arm seals, spark plugs, wires, o2 sensor.

would my IAC be the culprit? or does this sound like an EGR or clogged converter issue? i dont know where to start.

EGR blockages can cause this symptom. As you attempt to accelerate the EGR flow is misdirected (too much flow into one cylinder) due to blockages in some ports. This causes a lean stumble in engine.

Cure is to remove and clean EGR manifold (see DIY forum and youtube for help).

Suggest you also remove EGR valve and clean. Make sure valve movement is free and seals correctly.

good luck

unless you have a swapped engine you have an egr plate that is fairly easy to clean and doesnt require drilling as does other hondas

egr valves are built to last just push open the diaphram with your fingers and hit it with some carb cleaner to clean the pintle til its carbon free .. itll be fine
