help with 97 accord that engine stopped while driving
#31
use a 19mm socket on the crank pulley bolt (driver's side of engine block). IF you look behind the driver's tire, you can see a hole in the plastic shield that lines up with the crank bolt. The engine rotates counterclockwise (the engine rotates the same direction as the tires do when in drive).
Do you have a volt meter?

Use a wrench, not an impact. You want to AVOID loosening that bolt; you want to turn the crankshaft not loosen the bolt.
Sounds funny, because if you were trying to remove that bolt, it would be really difficult to loosen it. But since you don't want it to loosen, that's probably what will happen.
Turn it counterclockwise maybe 1 or 2 revolutions. You just want to verify that it turns and there's nothing broken inside.
